Her sensibility for design has been developed through years of independent practice and informed by the knowledge passed from potter to potter.

Function is central to her design philosophy. She aims to create objects that invite touch and quiet interaction, where material and form work together to enhance the user’s experience. Often incorporating wood ash glazes, a material Tash has witnessed in its full cycle from living tree to fire to ash, she brings a direct connection to nature into her work.

"Ceramics, for me, is an act of exploration. I take a malleable material, something that could become almost anything, and shape it into a form of my own choosing, turn it to stone, and offer it to the world. Even a butter dish is a decision. It could have taken countless forms, and this is the one I chose. When people look at my work, I want them to notice the precision, the skill, and the effort embedded in every piece. I want them to feel it when they use it, in the ease and balance of each form, in the texture of the clay against their skin, and in the invitation created through glaze and shape.

I want the exploration behind each piece to be felt in the hand. "
